4 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you.
And the people shall go out and gather a certain quota every day,
that I may test them, whether they will walk in My law or not.
Exodus 16:15
15 So when the children of Israel saw it, they said to one another,
“What is it?” For they did not know what it was.
And Moses said to them, “This is the bread which the Lord has given you to eat.
Exodus 16:36:
Now an omer is one-tenth of an ephah.
An omer has a numerical value of a tithe (ten sefirot) or tenth that is concealed in manna or someone’s input.
Exodus 16:16:
This is the thing which the Lord has commanded: ‘Let every man gather it according to each one’s need,
one omer for each person, according to the number of persons;
let every man take for those who are in his tent.’ ”
A person’s need can be that, the person is feeding a family of 4embers,
or a person can be running company, charitible organization, welfare system that economically, aids, employs, or feeds 45 paid workers,
or educates Vocational skills in the community etc…
Ones capacity to receive from God depends on the value he or she adds to his community…
The man’s or male’s responsibility:
In case if a man had 4 members in his family, he was supposed to gather (bring in) four omers of manna for his family.
When the male brought the manna (omer) home,
then the female received what was brought in,
nurtured it, and then she distributed it to her family members.
God’s omer – or mindset for each male:
Exodus 16:18:
So when they measured it by omers, he who gathered much had nothing left over,
and he who gathered little had no lack.
Every man had gathered according to each one’s need.
Manna was the food that Israel ate in the wilderness,
so that the male gender may be able to attain and understand,
God’s mindset (the measurement of Omer) that is concealed in his input (capacity to receive).
Exodus 16:22:
And so it was, on the sixth day, that they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for each one.
And all the rulers of the congregation came and told Moses.
Spiritual capacity and physical. Responsiblity:
The value (income, economical status of earning) of each person,
Depends on the responsibility each person has according the household, spiritual responsibility,
members (mouth) that he feeds and he spiritually sustains…
There are people that God feeds (gives them what they want to sustain their belly
(Liken unto the feeding of the different sorts animals).
But on the other side of the coin;
they are people that God patterns with to build communities,
institutes, to supply employmen to others, build moral structure of positive homes, build cities, businesses etc…
A person’s capacity to receive from God depends on the positive moral value that he,
or she adds to his home, community and surrounding…
The manna (Omer) kept for teaching the new generations:
Exodus 16:32:
Then Moses said, “This is the thing which the Lord has commanded:
‘Fill an omer with it, to be kept for your generations,
that they may see the bread with which I fed you in the wilderness,
when I brought you out of the land of Egypt.’ ”
Exodus 16:33:
And Moses said to Aaron, “Take a pot and put an omer of manna in it,
and lay it up before the Lord, to be kept for your generations.”
