Week 2 Gevurah – Discipline and Vigor:
Omer counting day 8.
Love – Discipline (the love/kindness side of discipline) Chesed – Gevurah in Hebrew.
Without disciplined love, even the energies, strength, and effort we put into relationships and projects, may be spent in vain.
The fear of men and the tolerance of bad behaviors from others into someone’s life is a lack of disciplined love in somebody’s character,
because without discipline, it becomes so hard to limit other people’s bad behaviors from influencing your life.
Discipline is not a state of pride and false judgment towards others, but it’s a state of character that is structured according to the good moral standards of God’s word.
This same character refuses to compromise its standards because of the bad behaviors of those that surround its environment.
Ask yourself:
Am I easily influenced by the opinions, ideas, and expectations of other people around me, to the extent that I even neglect to do the things that God expects from me?
Exercise of the day:
Ask God to forgive you for not being faithful to His will, and ask Him to give you more grace to be able to stand up against bad influences from other people.
Pray a prayer
We are in the 8TH MONTH called “CHESHVAN” on God’s calendar: Started on 2nd November & Ends on 1st DECEMBER 2024
