Week 1 Chesed – Love and kindness:Omer counting day 3.
Compassion – Love (the beauty/compassion/harmony side of love) Tiferet – Chesed in Hebrew.
Love must contain beauty, harmony, and compassion because when you really love somebody,
this also means that your love has matured from selfish ambitions and motives to the level where you are willing to love that somebody, even if they had nothing to offer for your love in return.
Ask yourself:
Is my love for the ones I claim to love, based upon what they can offer me? and if that is the case.
Then also ask yourself this question; if they were to stop offering me what I expect from them in return for my love,
will I still be able to love (to respect, to speak good about, to give, and to value) their relationship in my life?
Exercise of the day:
Do something good to someone and do it without expecting something in return, but let your innermost beauty, compassion, and harmony reflect your giving.
