Week 1 Chesed – Love and kindness:
Omer counting day 2.
Discipline – Love (the discipline/vigor side of love) Gevurah – Chesed in Hebrew.
Your love for someone must have a principle of discipline, so that you may not abuse the qualities of its purpose.
I know someone who was good at giving and sharing the things that he possesses to the extent that all the friends he had around him were with him because of the things he possesses.
Ask yourself:
Is my love for others disciplined enough, so that I am able to discern and restrain myself in those things that I am good at doing,
when I am in the presence of those people that come to manipulate and abuse my gift?
Exercise of the day:
Try to restrain and say no to yourself in the areas where you feel that you are good at neglecting discipline, in simple words I mean; commit yourself into doing the right thing no matter what it takes.
