Isaiah 12:3:

Therefore with joy you will draw water From the wells of salvation…

Well Water Quality —

Because water from a well is coming from the aquifer underground,

instead of run- off or surface water, it tends to be cleaner and fresher.

It is also high in healthy nutrients and minerals that are good for the body, including children.

Also, well water high in minerals often tastes better.

What was the purpose of the wells of water as stated in the bible?

Wells of water in the bible were places that gave water to one’s cattle, water used for irrigation, water used for home use,

But also the wells of water played the role of gathering and networking people who came from the four directions of their journeys,

Who had come to use the well as a place of refreshment, networking with people coming from the other parts of their journeys.

Genesis 29: 43:

behold, I stand by the well of water; and it shall come to pass that when the virgin comes out to draw water, 

And some wells of water were also a network where a person that wanted a spouce for marriage came to meet their wife or husband to be..

Exodus 2:16- Moses met his wife at the well
Genesis 29:10 – Jacob met his wife at the well

Genesis 24:43-47: Isaac’s wife was found at the well

The well was a place for correcting news or information told in form of stories,

which were coming from the different regions of those people that met at the wells etc.

Isaac digs up again the wells of his father:

The Re-diging, restoring, refining, redeeming, and reviving of the wells that have been covered with dirt (earth).

The enemy of Abraham had covered up his wells water with earth:

Genesis 26:15

Now the Philistines had stopped up all the wells which his father’s servants had dug in the days of Abraham his father, and they had filled them with earth.

The had filled them up with the emotional strife that hinder progress to occur…

Isaac digs up the wells of his father again:

Genesis 26:18

And Isaac dug again the wells of water which they had dug in the days of Abraham his father,

for the Philistines had stopped them up after the death of Abraham.

Isaac gives the wells the names (inherited identity) that his father Abraham had given unto them:

Genesis 26:18:

He called them by the names which his father (Abraham) had called them.

John 7:38

He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”

A true leader comes to revive, and activate the wells of life in each person that he leads,

So that the person (that is led) may become a well of water of salvation to his people in a unique way which suits the leadership requests of his people (clan, tribe, nation, culture or kingdom).

Revelation 7:17

for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters.

And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”
