Who is a Hebrew midwife?
The middle wife –
The one who plays the role of being in the middle of the spiritual realm of her principality and her community.
A midwife is a woman who plays the spiritual and physical role of applying and implementing the Hebrew moral principles of homemaking,
nurturing of babies during pregnancy, spiritual cultivation of early adolescence stage,
and helping with childbearing, which is done with the aim of strengthening homes,
so that the homes she nurtures may function as households that belong to the God of Israel.
The work of a midwife is also closely related to the duty of a Hebrew priestess.
The Hebrew midwives refused to abort God’s seed:
The Hebrew midwives resisted and disobeyed Pharoah’s command,
And they chose to instead do what God commanded them via the prophetic word of their season.
Exodus 1:15
Then the king of Egypt spoke to the Hebrew midwives,
of whom the name of one was Shiphrah and the name of the other Puah;
Exodus 1:17
But the midwives feared God, and did not do as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the male children alive.
Improving the art of homemaking and intimacy in a home:
Midwives are helpers who are there to help women of their community,
enabling them to have the knowledge of knowing how to be intimate with their husbands,
and they also help them with the art of being able to handle their duty of childbearing, pregnancy, taking care of their children, and homemaking.
Exodus 1:18
So the king of Egypt called for the midwives and said to them,
“Why have you done this thing, and saved the male children alive?”
Exodus 1:19
And the midwives said to Pharaoh, “Because the Hebrew women are not like the Egyptian women;
for they are lively and give birth before the midwives come to them.”
Exodus 1:20
Therefore God dealt well with the midwives, and the people multiplied and grew very mighty.
Exodus 1:21
And so it was, because the midwives feared God, that He provided households for them.
These midwives did God’s work of strengthening,
transmitting of the positive traits of a moral virtuous woman into the lives of the women of Israel,
helped the women of Israel to attain their spiritual status of maintaining an open womb,
So that their homes may be transformed into households that belong to the God of Israel.
