Changing one’s negative emotional state into the status of attaining one’s positive attributes:
The word “Fasting” means to refrain from the act of doing, eating, and interacting with negative things, people,
and foods which does not contribute towards your health,
godly image, positive nature or positive moral attitude.
But on the other hand:
during that same time when you are fasting,
use that time of fasting to get wisdom and understanding,
Formulate positive habits, forgive those that have wronged you, cultivate, nurture,
and participate in the art of meditating and studying.
What do you mean by studying and meditating?
I mean (listening, obeying, using your eyes to see, reading, praying, writing down, reciting and taking instructions)
– that will enable you to fashion your positive attributes and resepct.
Do your planning!
Write down the goals, and agenda of your fasting.
Be true to yourself:
Find out the out the negative traits about yourself that you want to change, and write them down.
Write down the positive attributes, things, ideas, or achievements that you would like to attain via your fasting etc,
And apply your positive attribute of devotion, commitment, obedience, respect, sadakah,
or sacrifice into the act of serving your written down goals.
