Deuteronomy 7:12
“Then it shall come to pass, because you listen to these judgments, and keep and do them,
that the Lord your God will keep with you the covenant and the MERCY which He swore to your fathers.
The word “MERCY” means:
compassion or forgiveness shown towards someone whom it is within one’s power to punish or harm…
The human acts of kindness, forgiveness, prayers of intercessions, charity (good deeds), compassion, treating those in distress with the aim of making their lives better, and enabling them to overcome their DISTRESS,
Such acts of mercy, activates God’s Heavenly mercies to be available for those in need of His mercy…
Psalm 85:10
Mercy and truth have met together; Righteousness and peace have KISSED.

Deuteronomy 4:30-31:
30 When you are in distress (extreme anxiety, sorrow, inflation, loss, emotional disorder, mental distress or pain),
and all these things come upon you in the latter days, when you turn to the Lord your God and obey His voice,
31 (for the Lord your God is a merciful God), He will not forsake you nor destroy you, nor forget the covenant of your fathers which He swore to them.
Psalm 51:1-2
51 Have MERCY upon me, O God, According to Your lovingkindness; According to the multitude of Your tender MERCIES, Blot out my transgressions.
2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, And cleanse me from my sin.
Psalm 4:1
David the Psalmist prayed and said;
Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have relieved me in my distress; Have mercy on me, and hear my prayer.
Isaiah 14:1
Mercy on Jacob
For the Lord will have mercy on Jacob, and will still choose Israel, and settle them in their own land.
The strangers will be joined with them, and they will cling to the house of Jacob
Mercy and God’s Favor:
Genesis 39:21
But the Lord was with Joseph and showed him MERCY, and He gave him FAVOR in the sight of the keeper of the prison.
Exodus 15:13
You in Your mercy have led forth The people whom You have redeemed; You have guided them in Your strength To Your holy habitation.
Exodus 34:7
keeping MERCY for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children’s children to the third and the fourth generation.”
Mercy is the compassionate treatment of those in distress, especially when it is within one’s power to punish or harm them.
The word “mercy” derives from the medieval Latin merced or merces, which means “price paid.”
It has the connotation of forgiveness, benevolence and kindness.
Leviticus 16:2
and the Lord said to Moses: “Tell Aaron your brother not to come at just any time into the Holy Place inside the veil, before the mercy seat which is on the ark, lest he die;
for I will appear in the cloud above the mercy seat.
Incense of mercy
Leviticus 16:13
And he shall put the incense on the fire before the Lord, that the cloud of incense may cover the mercy seat that is on the Testimony, lest he die.
Let all our actions of obedience, tithing, prayers, offerings, good deeds, become the smoke of incense (sweet smelling aroma), or cloud that rains down Your mercies upon us.
1 Kings 3:6
And Solomon said: “You have shown great mercy to Your servant David my father, because he walked before You in TRUTH, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with You;
You have continued this great kindness for him, and You have given him a son to sit on his throne (to prolong his inheritance and legacy), as it is this day.
