Women’s oppression and inequality were spurring women to become more vocal and active in campaigning for change.
Then in 1908, 15,000 women marched through New York City demanding shorter hours, better pay and voting rights.
What is the symbol of International women’s day?
Green is a symbol of hope.
Today, purple is the colour of International Women’s Day, and combined with green represents the feminist movement.

2011 was the 100 year centenary of International Women’s Day – with the first IWD event held exactly 100 years ago in 1911 in Austria, Denmark, Germany and Switzerland.
In the United States, President Barack Obama proclaimed March 2011 to be “Women’s History Month”, calling Americans to mark IWD by reflecting on “the extraordinary accomplishments of women” in shaping the country’s history.

Obama as a president of America was commanded by the colonial globalist movement to make the month (March) into the time of reviving the women’s movement of feminism.
The feminist movement of women:
The feminists movements of women that reflects the women’s democratic interests which derives from extreme feminism (giving women the rights to choose how they should treat their bodies.
The feminists movement achieved their rights of being independent women, rights to divorce, abort, have the right to sexually choose their sexual partners without the interference of the male gender (husband), have the right to use all means of birth control,
have the freedom to make their private choices, fulfil their intuitions of their emotional desires and interets as a feminine (hormonal) beings, women taking the overall leadership, and decision making in their homes, which neglects the male as the head of the home etc.
All those rights of women were given their legislated status via the white house (during Obama’s presidential rule in the USA)…
