Article to Study!

The word “discouraged” means;

To cause (someone) to lose confidence in the faith of God, to lack enthusiasm, to be downhearted,

to access the energy of depression via the negative information (bad news) that surrounds one’s environment, or to see no hope in the future….

We are in the 8TH MONTH called “CHESHVAN” on God’s calendar: Started on 2nd November & Ends on 1st DECEMBER 2024

Numbers 32:9

For when they went up to the Valley of Eshcol and saw the land,

they discouraged the heart of the children of Israel,

so that they did not go into the land which the Lord had given them.

When a person is discouraged, disheartened, depressed,

that person may not find pleasure in being good to others,

and such a person will also prefer to refrain, and even refuse from being used as a channel (medium, vessel) of hope,

kindness, generosity, forgiveness towards those he/she disagrees with, dislikes,

or those that the person has been commanded to respect (honor) via God’s commandments.

Similar:

dishearten, dispirit, demoralize, make despondent, make downhearted, cast down, depress,

disappoint, to bring a bad report, or bad news to someone, to speak evil,

or to character assasinate someone or something that brings hope to someone,

dampen someone’s hopes, dash someone’s hopes, cause to lose heart, put off, intimidate, let down,

disconsolate, despondent, fed up,
dejected, downcast, depressed, dismayed,

low-spirited, gloomy glum, pessimistic, unenthusiastic, having lost heart,

lacking in enthusiasm, lacking in confidence, insecure, unconfident

with cold feet, heartsick, heartsore
speaking negatively, getting offended, probably entering into the mood of gossiping, complaining.

The evil act of slandering the position of leadership, due to the changed laws,

introduced conditions, declared regulations, a set of commandments that has been passed,

which differs from the previous life style that was familiar to a person’s repeated (or cultured – cultivated) habits.

On a psychological level;

Discourage –

To get involved with the science of witchcraft, gossip, character assassinating of someone,

or the speaking of evil (reporting of bad news, the raising of a group of political oppostion),

which is done against the decisions that have been taken,

due to the fact that the person or group of people disapproves of the new changes which have been put into place.

People can get into the status of becoming diwcouraged (gloomy, get offended, behave as if they have been insulted,

get discouraged, put in the state of complaining, nagging etc),

When ever the circumstances (seasons) of life change into a demand of requests;

these demands may call for change, obedience, adjustments of habits,

or to require for the person’s behavior to do things differently,

so that he or she may gain, attain, or possess the results or things that one needs.

And there are people who can become discouraged when the see the changed circumstance,

or seasons favoring and being friendly towards the people they discriminate, or hold unforgiveness towards are being favoured.
