What does the word doubt mean?
noun
a feeling of uncertainty or lack of conviction.
The negative type of energy which puts someone into the psychological state of lacking devotion toward His God,
faith, and lacking the motivation of doing the things that can make someone’s life better.
Failing to trust in God’s truth and not being able to find time to pray…
Lacking the strength, faith and energy to be able to stand up for what is true or truth.
On an emotional & psychological level:
To hang in the state of doubt where one is not sure of himself, lacking confidence,
hesitating, wavering, changing one’s mind all the time, indecision, mistrust,
using excuses to put off (stay away, prospond, procrastinate) activities or things that are important in one’s life
Being suspicious towards the relationships and progress which can bring positive change in one’s life.
Can’t make up his or her mind, compromising, fearful, confused, can not decide, etc..
“some doubt has been cast upon the authenticity of this account”.
Causing negative feelings & emotional distress:
That which stimulates the feelings and emotional state of inferiority complex, insecurity and low self esteem….
Hebraic explanation:
In Hebrew this word “doubt” is known as “Amalek” (which means Shafek),
to doubt or to be in the state of doubting God’s messenger, truth and commandments.
Opposite:
The oposite of doubt is to have Faith in God.
