John 14:15
15 “If you love Me, keep My commandments.
Deuteronomy 29:9 (NKJV)
9 Therefore keep the words of this covenant, and do them,
that you may prosper in all that you do.
Blessed by keeping His (God’s) commandments:
Revelation 22:14 (NKJV)
14 Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life,
and may enter through the gates into the city.
Joshua 1:8 (NKJV)
8 This Book of the Law (Torah) shall not depart from your mouth,
but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it.
For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
We express our love for God by keeping and being obedient to His commandments:
John 15:10 (NKJV)
10 If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love,
just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.
John 14:15-18 (NKJV)
Yeshua Promises Another Helper
15 “If you love Me, keep My commandments.
16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—
17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him;
but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.
18 I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.
Matthew 7:21-24 (NKJV)
I Never Knew You
21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven,
but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name,
cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’
23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me,
you who practice lawlessness or you who do not keep My commandments!’
Build on the Rock
24 “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them,
I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock:
Psalm 111:10:
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do His commandments.
His praise endures forever.
Where do I find God’s commandments?
You will find God’s commandments written down in His “Torah” also known as the bible.
In Hebrew, the scroll where God’s laws or commandments are written is known as the Torah.
The Torah is made up of the written law (five books of Moses) and the oral law.
God’s commandments in Hebrew are also known as God’s mitzvah,
and when a person fulfills a mitzvah (does a commandment of God),
that mitzvah connects his soul (conscious and subconscious) to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
The Bible is made up of The New Testament & Old Testament.
