Then Yeshua spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world.
He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”
Genesis 1:1-3:
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
2 The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep.
And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
Genesis 1:3:
Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.
God divides the children of light from the children of darkness:
Genesis 1:4:
And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness.
2 Corinthians 4:6:
For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness,
who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Yeshua Christ.
Matthew 5:16:
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in Heaven.
Acts 26:18:
to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light,
and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.’
1 John 1:5:
This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you,
that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.
Philippians 2:15:
that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation,
among whom you shine as lights in the world,
2 Peter 1:19:
And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place,
until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts;
God’s seasons and times:
Genesis 1:14-19:
14 Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night;
and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years;
The spiritual role of the many lights is to give light (Yeshua–single light) into the earth:
Genesis 1:15
15 and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth”; and it was so.
16 Then God made two great lights:
the greater light (the sun) to rule the day, and the lesser light (the moon) to rule the night.
He made the stars also.
17 God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light (Yeshua) on the earth,
18 and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness.
And God saw that it was good.
19 So the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
