Who is a soothsayer?
noun
a person supposed to be able to foresee the future.
Soothsaying is the art of speaking predictions over one’s life which stimulates fear,
so that the victim may buy or put his trust in the sold idols, tradition of small gods or spirits that his or her ancestors worshiped.
To look at the signs of nature, phenomenon or the appearance of someone,
and then from what the person is seeing, he or she starts to predict sicknesses,
misfortune, bad luck, delivering bad news into someone’s life…
Bad news on television and radio:
In fact the art of making news broadcast derives its nature from the negative form of delivering news which is inspired by the art Soothsaying.
2 Kings 17:17:
And they caused their sons and daughters to pass through the fire, practiced witchcraft and soothsaying,
and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke Him to anger.
Leviticus 19:26:
‘You shall not eat anything with the blood, nor shall you practice divination or soothsaying.
In some practices practiced by pagan traditions that eat meat with blood,
the pagans do it because they want to imbue themselves with the instincts of the animal that they eating.
Micah 5:12:
I will cut off sorceries from your hand, And you shall have no soothsayers.
