Week 5: Hod – Humility/Devotion:
Omer counting day 29.
Love – Humility (the Love/Kindness side of Humility) Chesed – Hod in Hebrew.
It can be easy for people to exercise their kindness by giving to those who are poor, lacking, and the less fortunate ones that need help.
But it will take godly Humility for someone to be able to understand that God also uses the principle of giving,
so that the one who is giving is elevated from the physical into the spiritual,
from defeat into victory, from spiritual blindness into spiritual enlightenment through his giving.
There are two types of giving that can be done on the earth;
The first type is when you give through kindness (giving to the poor, the less fortunate etc…),
but the second type of giving is the one that derives from Humility.
We are in the 8TH MONTH called “CHESHVAN” on God’s calendar: Started on 2nd November & Ends on 1st DECEMBER 2024
Humility is the spiritual state of the soul that understands, that before you come up in life,
you must have given something in Humility to someone that holds a higher spiritual rank or position than you yourself.
The word dominion in Hebrew means;
to go down in Humility so that you may gain spiritual knowledge, power and authority for you to be able to reach the height of your Destiny.
(It is the scenario of an archer who uses his bow to shoot arrows towards his target,
before an arrow shoots forward, it must first be pulled back to find strength,
anointing, focus, truth, power that will make it hit its target).
Godly Humility in relationship with love,
will bring you to the understanding that God’s blessings for your life are hidden within your ability to be able to give in to the spiritual leadership that God has pre-ordained for your life.
Ask yourself:
Is it easier for me to give charity to those who are suffering?
Or am I also able to acknowledge my need of giving into those people that can become a spiritual blessing and a source of spiritual wisdom into my life?
Exercise of the day:
Before your prayers of supplication and Humility ascends up to God from your mouth, give some charity into the work of God, it will empower your prayers.
