The feast of Tabernacles also known as “Sukkot” in Hebrew falls in the 7th month called Tishrei on God’s calendar.
It starts on the 15th of Tishrei and ends on the 22nd of Tishrei.
The seventh month on God’s calendar falls around the month of September or October on the Gregorian/Roman calendar.
The celebration takes a period of 7 days:
‘In the 7 days of the celebration of the feast of Tabernacles which falls in the 7th month called Tishrei,
Israel the Jewish Nation was also commanded by Hasham (God) to dwell in Booths, also called “sukkah” in Hebrew as it is written in Leviticus 23:40-43.
In these seven days, from the 15th (full moon) of Tishrei to the 22nd of Tishrei,
the children of Israel were commanded to come out of their comfort zones, from their expensive buildings and their successful achievements,
so that they may dwell in a Sukkah which was is constructed out of palm tree branches, willow wooden boards, and bough of leafy trees.
The 7 guests:
During the celebration of Sukkot (dwelling under the Sukkah), this is also the season when the spiritual presence or guidance of the 7 (seven) shepherds of Israel,
descend into the homes of the holy saints that keep the feast of the tabernacle.
These 7 guests gather according to the Jewish (Hebrew) prayer called Ushpizin to transmit energies, spiritual influence, authority,
and blessings that govern the 7 attributes which are contained in the earth, and the 7 Heavens.
The 7 days of the feast of tabernacles:
Each day during the Feast of Tabernacles has a godly spiritual presence that draws down the seven Guests or seven shepherds.
Due to the fact that Sukkot falls in the season of autumn harvest (ingathering of all fruits which are harvested in autumn) that is the reason why the roof of a sukkah is decorated with different types of fruits.
Song of Solomon 7:13 declares:
And at our gates are pleasant fruits, All manner, new and old, which I have laid up for my beloved.
Song of Solomon 4:16,
Let my beloved come to his garden and eat its pleasant fruits.
