For the Lord God had not caused it to RAIN on the earth, becauae there was no MAN to TILL (play the role of a Father, Manage, teach, take care, or govern) the ground (Land, mother earth, Eretz);

⁶ but a mist went up from the earth and watered the whole face of the ground.
