There are human weaknesses that needs warning, threatening and condemning, so that they can gain the ability to accept and adjust with the seasons of change:
Hosea 4:6
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge,
I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.
To much pride, arrogance and ignorance (the ignoring of wise, and Godly counsel), thats why many are destroyed…
Hebrews 12:9
Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect.
Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live?
There are weaknesses that we possess as humans; and the only way we can bring them under moral order of being subject (submissive) to the good path of their leadership, or Godly mission,
Is by threatening them, some needs a rod [bad circumstances, rebuke] to beat the foolishness out of them,
(the making of laws) that speaks condemnation, disapproval, gives warning, imparts fear, and also plays the role of fathering, and disciplining those behaviors,
So that the character that makes a person to avoid falling into unnecessary riskzones, and also avoid doing things that leads to death, destruction, loss, punishment, endangering the lives of others, debt, murder etc. May be hindered from occuring…
Leviticus 26:27-28:
27 ‘And after all this, if you do not obey Me, but walk contrary to Me,
28 then I also will walk contrary to you in fury (anger, wrath, disapproval); and I, even I, will chastise (punish) you seven times for your sins.
Ezekiel 33:8-9:
8 When I say to the wicked, ‘O wicked man, you shall surely die!’ and you do not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand.
9 Nevertheless if you warn the wicked to turn from his way, and he does not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.
Romans 6:16
Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey,
whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?
